The Made in Italy sneaker becomes sustainable
Steve's is a story of Italian craftsmanship, care and attention to detail.
Each material selected by Steve's is the result of careful research and rigorous testing , both in terms of quality performance and environmental impact . Innovative materials , strictly Italian , that make our sneakers unique .
UPCYCLED VELVET
The upcycled velvet details come from unused scraps of the big fashion industries, recovered and transformed to give them a second life. This process not only reduces the environmental impact, but makes each shoe unique and limited edition , highlighting the excellence of Made in Italy.
Uppeal
The upper is made with UPPEAL , a bio-based material obtained from apple peels and cores recovered from apple farms in Alto Adige .
These wastes, otherwise destined for disposal, are transformed through advanced processes to create a resistant, versatile material with a reduced environmental impact.
Leaf Zero +
The Leaf sole is made of recycled TR , a sustainable material that reduces the use of natural resources and waste production. Thanks to its composition, recycled TR is completely recyclable at the end of its life , contributing to a more circular and responsible economy.
OTHER MATERIALS
At Steve's we use a selection of sustainable and innovative materials:
1. Water-based glues , free from harmful chemicals, for safer and low environmental impact production.
2. Hand stitching and embroidery in certified organic cotton.
3. Mounting insole made of 100% recycled cardboard , which reduces the use of virgin resources.
4. 100% biodegradable toe caps and heel counters , designed to integrate naturally into the environment at the end of their life.
5. Organic cotton laces.
OUR PACKAGING
Steve's brings its vision of sustainability to its packaging as well.
You will receive your sneakers in a steel box completely recycled and recyclable thanks to the Italian recycling consortia, designed specifically to encourage reuse.
Inside you will find a plantable paper brochure that, once read, can be buried, transforming the box into an elegant vase for your plants.
